We stayed here one night on our way to New Mexico. This campground is very clean and neat with mostly gravel roads and sites. Our site was level enough that we didn't have to unhook for our one night stay. There are shade trees and scrubs between most sites and plenty of room between sites for our slides and awning. The manager was pleasant and gracious. Our dogs loved the pet playground where they could run off-leash! We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We stopped here on our way to NM because they were a Passport America park. When we arrived the owner told us he couldn't honor the quoted rate of $16 because the park wasn't doing too well. This is frustrating when you are on a budget for campground fees, have made reservations, and been quoted a specific rate on the phone. This CG is very plain with no amenities. Sites are close together. If there would have been an RV on our door side, we wouldn't have been able to put our awning out. Despite changing our rate, the owner was friendly and helped us into our site. The rate does include WI-FI, cable TV and 50 amp service. As in much of TX, there are stickers in the grass and our dogs both got them in their feet. I would only stay here again if there were no other choices.

This is a very nice park. Sites are gravel and level - we didn't have to unhook from our truck. The park is well-maintained and we were greeted with pleasant hosts. We only stayed here one night, but had we not had previous commitments, we would have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Friendly helpful staff. Level, gravel, spacious full-hookup sites. Pull-thru sites are separated from seasonal sites, however seasonal camp sites appeared clean and well-maintained. Very close to I-69, but could not hear traffic noise inside our RV. There are small trees planted between the sites, so someday there will be shade in the pull-thru sites, but not now. I would definitely camp here again if in the area.

We stayed here one night on our way to Canada. We did have a full hook-up site with 50 amp service. The owner was friendly and helpful - escorted to site. I agree with a couple of the previous reviewers when they stated that some of the seasonal sites are run-down and cluttered with "stuff". We had a partially shaded, level site with easy access for our truck and 37' RV. We would probably stay here again if we were passing through, but not longer than one night.

This was a lovely setting and very well maintained campground. Site were spacious: 50-60 feet on each side. We had a lake view site (#25) with large trees behind us. All sites are back-in, but there is plenty of room to maneuver into the site. In addition to the nightly rate, there is a $4.00/day park permit. We were here for 3 days and unfortunately it rained most of the time, but we still enjoyed our stay. There are many sandy beaches along the lake and you can drive right down to them. We didn't get the opportunity to fish, but were told that the fishing is good on this lake. During the busy season, I would definitely make reservations, especially if you'd like a site with full hook-ups. We will absolutely return to this campground!

We stayed at this park because it was convenient to family members in the area. Park was not well maintained and sites were very close together. It backs up to Peterson AFB and you hear taps, retreat and revielle each day. While it did not bother us, our neighbors complained about it. Appeared to cater to permanent campers. We would only stay here again if we are visiting the same family in Colorado Springs.

Very nice park. Owner very friendly and helpful. Gave us an escort to site and assisted with directing to proper place for hook-ups. Level, gravel, pull-through and back-in sites. Some shaded overlooking the valley. As others have said, the entrance to park was a rather steep grade with a couple sharp turns, but the road was in good condition and not difficult to navigate. My only complaint was the extreme slowness of the WI-FI connection. Will definitely camp here again.

Highway to campground is hilly, curvy and narrow. Campground is not very well maintained. Sites are gravel/grass and there seems to be a good number of seasonal/permanent campers. Owners were friendly and helpful, but because of the condition of the campground and the access road, we would not camp here again.
